CHAIRS
Justina Rios
Hi delegates! My name is Justina Rios and I’m a senior in the International School of Panama. I’m very excited to be part of this year’s Rising from Adversity: Turning Challenges Into Opportunities Conference as co-chair of the FIFA committee. I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and aside from having lived in Panama for 10 years I’ve also lived in Rio de Janeiro. Having been a chair in my junior year, I knew it was an experience that I had to repeat because of the many things I learned from it and how much fun I had. My passions include biology, being with my friends, and traveling to new places with my family. I have no doubt that all of you will be exceptional as tomorrow’s leaders, and it is through experiences like PANAMUN that you expand your knowledge of the world and learn how to grow as a person. For those of you who aren’t sure if debating is your thing, entering this conference with an open mind and willingness to learn will help you as much as it once helped me. I hope you’re all as eager as I am for this year’s conference, see you all soon!
Sara Beltran
Hey, delegates! My name is Sara Beltran, I’m a Junior at the International School of Panama and very excited to be one of your chairs on the International Federation of Association Football committee. I was born in Caracas, Venezuela but moved to Panama when I was merely 3 years old and have been living here since then. In fifth grade, I had my first significant debating experience, and have been consecutively part of the following conferences. I have developed a love for debate and honed my ability to express my ideas ever since. I’ve been a delegate since the 5th grade however, this is my second year being a Chair, and I can guarantee that it is a unique experience. I love watching movies, listening to music, swimming, and spending time with my favorite people. MUN provides the resources to refine your public speaking and diplomacy skills and test your critical thinking inside and outside of the conference. I’m excited to spend PANAMUN XXXII with all of you and watch as you nurture and develop your relationships and ideas, but most of all, I’m excited to meet you!
Admin
Rania Assal
Hi, my name is Rania Assal and I'm from Venezuela. My first MUN experience was 4 years ago, and I found it to be a very intriguing experience since I'd never debated or lobbied in a formal environment before. This is my second year being an admin, but my first year managing a committee, since last year I was a supportive admin. I chose to apply for admin this year because I wanted to get the full admin experience, given last year’s online conference. I’m set on putting my time management skills to the test, and give the delegates and chairs the best MUN experience possible.
