Gabriela Yamazaki

Hello Delegates! My name is Gabriela Vilela Yamazaki and I am currently a senior at the International School of Panama. I am excited to welcome you to the PANAMUN XXXII conference as I will be one of your chairs in the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). Although I was born in Chile, I consider myself Brazilian as not only are both my parents from there but I also lived there for the longest. As a freshman, I attended my first MUN conference as a PANAMUN delegate in the SOCHUM committee; since then I have participated in two other PANAMUN conferences, both in UNHCR, and joined the diplomacy club to further involve myself in debate. During last year’s conference, I had the honor of being a chair in UNHCR which was overall a great leadership experience. MUN is a great opportunity to explore your passions and learn about pressing issues from the perspectives of different countries around the world. I ask that each individual show respect towards their fellow delegates, chairs, and other staff members to establish a safe environment for a high-level debate. Feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns to either me or my co-chair. I look forward to meeting you all!

Alberto Norte

Hello everyone! My name is Alberto Norte, I am a senior at the Metropolitan School of Panama, and I am thrilled to be a Chair for the UNODC for PANAMUN XXXII! I was born in Panama and I have lived here my whole life. My debate career began back in 2019, when I joined my school's MUN club and attended my first conference, PANAMUN XXVII. I was immediately captivated by the nature of debate and knew that I had encountered a new passion. Since then, I have been able to attend several conferences in Panama and abroad, where I have served different roles, as a delegate, chair, and even as part of the Secretariat. Throughout these years, I have come to think of MUN as a wonderful opportunity to develop skills like research and public speaking, which are essential for success both in and out of academic environments. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and will gladly spend hours playing board games or just having a chat. My co-chair and myself are here to support you and to make sure that you have a fruitful debate experience, so please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you need anything. I look forward to meeting you all in October!

Hello Delegates! My name is Shreshth Seth, and I am currently a senior at The International School of Panama. It is a great honor to serve as an Admin for the upcoming PANAMUN XXXII conference for UNODC. I was born in India and moved to Panama a year ago, making last year's PANAMUN XXXI my inaugural experience as a delegate. Despite the conference being online, I still had an enriching and fruitful experience debating and learning many important things. In my free time, I enjoy playing video games, watching shows, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family. Having lived in Colombia, Switzerland, Myanmar, and Spain, I've experienced the richness of diverse cultures firsthand. I believe PANAMUN is crucial for fostering international understanding and cooperation among young leaders, skills that are vital as we navigate the complexities of a global community.
